Hélène Antier, Founder and CEO of Lyv
In March 2021, Hélène Antier created Lyv, a platform providing support for the three million women who, like her, suffer from endometriosis.Lyv helps its users to better understand the symptoms, effects and day-to-day impact of this chronic inflammatory condition, for which there is as yet no cure. Lyv is also a community united around the hashtag #CeQueJaiDansLeVentre (“what I’ve got in my stomach”), which has an online magazine full of useful information. An AI-based application enabling women to track their endometriosis will be launched by the end of the year.
Brigitte Autran, Professor of Immunology
Professor of Immunology at Pierre et Marie Curie University, Head of the Immunology Department at Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, member of the COVID-19 vaccine committee… these are just some of Professor Brigitte Autran’s titles and distinctions. She was one of the first interns in the Paris public hospitals authority (AP-HP) to be confronted with an AIDS patient. Moreover, she later chose to specialise in immunology, vaccines, immune deficiencies and transplants. She is responsible for the development of a therapeutic vaccine that can slow the progression of AIDS.
Mireille Faugère, President of the AMREF NGO
An HEC graduate, Mireille Faugère dedicated 30 years of her career to SNCF before making a radical career change by becoming General Director of the Paris public hospitals authority (AP-HP) from 2010 to 2013. Since June 2016, she has been President of AMREF Flying Doctors, the biggest public health NGO in Africa.
Aurélie Jean, Scientist
Aurélie Jean is a mathematical scientist and entrepreneur specialising in algorithms and digital modelling. She obtained a degree in Physics and Mechanics before studying for a doctorate in Material Science and Digital Mechanics. She conducted her post-doctoral research at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She is the Founder and CEO of In Silico Veritas, in New York.
Frédérique Penault-Llorca, Oncologist
A Doctor of Medicine, University Professor and hospital practitioner, Professor Frédérique Penault-Llorca teaches at the University of Clermont-Ferrand. She is also General Director of the Jean Perrin cancer centre and Assistant Director of the Inserm unit 1240 (ImoST) research team. She has led various research studies on biomarkers in cancer and discovered a breast cancer therapy that is unique worldwide.
Caroline Robert, Immunologist and Dermatologist
Professor Caroline Robert is a world-renowned doctor and innovative researcher specialising in fighting melanoma. She is head of the dermatology department at Gustave Roussy Hospital in Paris and responsible for dermatology teaching at the Paris-Sud Faculty of Medicine. With Dr Stephan Vagner, she also leads the melanoma research team in Inserm unit 981.
