Africa Health is an annual health exhibition organized by Informa Markets. First organized in May 2011 in Johannesburg, the exhibition has significantly grown over the years. It is now considered one of the leading continental hubs for innovation and trade in Africa. It serves as a sustainable platform that brings together global healthcare stakeholders.
After a two-year hiatus, the exhibition reopened its doors from October 26th to 28th, 2022, at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg. More than 350 exhibitors from 35 countries and 6,574 professional visitors (distributors, traders, private and public hospitals, buyers, exporters, and institutions) from 50 countries had the opportunity to participate in a 4,000m² exhibition space.
In 2023, the organizers estimate that the number of exhibitors is expected to double, making the exhibition even more attractive and attracting African healthcare professionals. This growth is notably driven by the co-organization of Medlab Africa, which will bring together exhibitors focused on medical laboratories, providing an ideal platform to connect with a wide range of stakeholders in this sector.
